Member of the Month March 2017

Chris Lombardi

We would like to announce Chris Lombardi is the member of the month for Lincroft First Aid and Rescue Squad.

This goes to an individual who has dedicated countless hours to the LFARS. Mr. Lombardi joined the Squad in 2010 and has made his way up the ranks from Engineer to Chief Engineer for 2017. Mr. Lombardi is always willing to go the extra mile to help others. The LFARS can not thank Chris enough for all the hard work and dedication that he has for the Squad.

1. How old are you?

27

2. How long have you been a member of LFARS and what year did you join?

I joined Lincroft First Aid & Rescue Squad on 12/6/10 and have been on the squad for seven years.

3. What is your favorite part of being a member of LFARS?

There are good days and bad days when answering EMS calls. There is nothing that can lift my spirits on a bad day more than a sincere thank you from a patient or their family.

4. What are some of your favorite hobbies?

I enjoy running and playing hockey in my free time. I have run a handful of marathons and ultra-marathons and play on several charity hockey teams within the area.

5. What do you do for work?

Financial Analyst who's passionate about implementing processes and systems that increase sales efficiency and drive strong financial results.

6. What is your ideal vacation?

I’m a cold weather kind of person and usually travel North when I want to go on vacation. However, most of my recent travels have been to charity Hockey tournaments, across the United States and Canada. If I am not traveling, I enjoy a “stay-cation” with my cat Caroline.

7. What made you want to join LFARS and why do you answer calls?

Short story: I joined to help my neighbors in their time of need. Longer story: Before I was a member, my neighbor had fallen ill and called 9-1-1. I walked over to help my neighbor and asked if there was anything I could do, but I was useless to everyone on the scene. I resolved to put myself in a better position to help my neighbors from that day on. I joined the Lincroft First Aid at the following business meeting on the first Monday of the month. Within a few weeks, I was enrolled in EMT class and the classes worked well around my 9a-6p work schedule.
