About Us

The Lincroft First Aid & Rescue Squad (LFARS) is an all-volunteer, community-based organization serving the village of Lincroft, NJ.  LFARS provides emergency medical care, acute patient care and transport services at the basic life support level.  Currently LFARS operates two (2) Type III BLS ambulances and one (1) First Responder support vehicle.  LFARS also maintains operational rescue level and extrication capability, with one (1) Rescue Vehicle, and water rescue capability, operating one (1) Water Rescue Vehicle and two (2) Boats. 

 

 

Additionally, LFARS is one of the five individual squads that comprise the Middletown Township 5-Squad Organization, which oversees the emergency medical & rescue services for the entire township of Middletown, New Jersey since 1954. Our primary response area of Lincroft, NJ is a section of Middletown Township that is 5.8 square miles with a population of 6,135, with a population density of 1,059.3 per square mile (US Census 2010). Additionally, as a member of the Middletown Township 5-Squad Association, the Lincroft First Aid & Rescue Squad provides emergency medical services during the hours of 0500-1700hrs Monday through Friday to the Township of Middletown as a whole in cooperation with the other 4 squads. This increases our response area to 59.3 square miles total and adds an additional 60,387 residents to our coverage area, with a population density of 1,613 per square mile (US Census 2010).

  • Garden State Parkway, a 10-lane highway that has 1,187,164 vehicles per day on an average 2010 day, which increases into 1,256,097 vehicles during the summer month with all the tourisits driving to the Jersey Shore (New Jersey Turnpike Authority)
